Canine Myofunctional Therapy (CMT), more commonly known as Dog Massage is a specialised form of remedial muscle therapy in which a qualified therapist performs a sequence of massages and stretches on a dog. It is a non-invasive and drug-free therapy that helps to release tight muscles, improve movement quality and reduce compensation patterns by helping the right muscles function better. The benefits of the therapy are numerous and include but not limited to slowing down the natural aging process, helping healthy dogs stay healthier for longer and rehabilitating injured dogs by enabling them to move better.
Just as humans benefit from massage so do our dogs. Not forgetting our other smaller or bigger animal companions.
There has been much research from The Touch Research Institute located at the Mailman Center for Child Development at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Miami Florida that continues its research today of the multitude of benefits of massage/touch therapy on our health and well-being.
It only makes sense that massage too has many health and well-being benefits to our canine companions....
Animal communication essentially is the transfer of information from one or a group of animals to one or more other animals that affects the current or future behaviour of the receivers. Information may be sent intentionally, as in a courtship display or unintentionally as in the transfer of scent from predator to prey. Information may be transferred to an "audience" of several receivers.

In an ever changing world communication between humans and animals has taken on a deeper meaning and necessity. We can learn so much from the animals about how to live in harmony and balance on the planet. For us animal lovers, telepathic communication nurtures the understanding, joy and richness possible in relationships with their animal companions and importantly in all of life.
Animal communication is a telepathic communication whereby the meaning of telepathy is"communication from one mind to another by extrasensory means" (merriam-webster Dictionary) which involves the direct transmission of feelings, intentions, thoughts, mental images, emotions, sensations and just having a strong sense of knowing....
The simplest definition of the word Reiki is Universal or Spiritual (Rei)- Life Force or Energy (Ki).
The Reiki system is a simple and powerful system of energy work that anyone can learn to use for developing physical, emotional, mental and spiritual harmony and wholeness in themselves and for assisting others.
Reiki is a natural system of energy healing. It is done by placing hands on or near the animal. The practitioner runs Reiki Energy while placing their hands on or over a series of locations on the recipients body. This energy is the life force that permeates the universe. Reiki Practitioners can also work remotely/distantly.
All animals take the energy they need to heal/relax and on no account does reiki ever cause discomfort, pain or distress. The animal is the healer and the person is the channel for the healing energy.
Alongside veterinary treatment Animal Reiki can be used as it does not in any way interfere detrimentally with the treatment, but can help to speed up the healing process, de-stress a sick animal and ease any pain the animal is suffering....
